Peer Review Policy
Sangathya applies rigorous peer review to ensure quality and integrity. The Journal uses double-blind review by default; exceptions are permitted with consent.
Review model & selection
- Default model: double-blind peer review (authors and reviewers anonymised).
- Editors select 2–3 expert reviewers per paper based on expertise and absence of conflicts.
Reviewer responsibilities & conduct
- Maintain confidentiality and declare conflicts of interest immediately.
- Provide objective, constructive feedback with evidence and references.
- Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe (typically 2–4 weeks); request extensions if necessary.
- Do not use or distribute unpublished material for personal advantage.
Timelines & decisions
Initial editorial triage occurs within 7 days. Reviewers are asked to return reports in 2–4 weeks. Editors aim for a final decision within 6–8 weeks.
Becoming a reviewer
Researchers may apply to review by submitting a reviewer application with CV, areas of expertise, ORCID, and sample reviews. Successful applicants enter a probationary period and may be invited to the reviewer pool based on performance.
